J'ai aimé vous rencontrer (I've loved to meet you)

Une très belle exposition avec mon amie Sandrine Fourrier, sur les hauteurs de la butte Sainte-Anne à Nantes. Aujourd'hui, on a écouté "Girls just wanna have fun" de Cindy Lauper, on a fait de la peinture, et on a fini tous les Haribos! L'expo a lieu aujourd'hui jusqu'à 19h, alors n'hésitez pas à venir nous voir (il reste des petits gateaux, eheh). En attendant, petite séance photo...

A beautiful exhibition with my friend Sandrine Fourrier, on the heights of Sainte-Anne hill. Today we listened to "girls just wanna have fun" Cindy Lauper, paint, and finished all haribos candies! It is still there tomorrow, until 19 pm, then feel free to visit us (there are some biscuits left, eheh. In the meanwhile, we do a little photo shooting...

Je pensais en avoir terminé avec ma série de tableaux destinée à l'expo nantaise, mais non. Une toile vierge d'un mètre sur un mètre avait échappé à mon attention. Elle était dissimulée derrière d'autres toiles, terminées elles. Comme vous le savez, branle-bas de combat, j'ai commencé un nouveau tableau et j'espère pouvoir le terminer pour lundi. Je pense que c'est jouable... mais çà va être serré... je pense que je vais laisser rayonner le soleil, laisser de côté les première promenades printannières tant attendues.
Voici la toile en question... en cours bien entendu...
Je pense l'intituler "l'appel des cerisiers"...

I thought i finished all the paintings for my french exhibition, but no. I found a brand new canva, in a large size (100x100cm) that was hidden behind some finished paintings. As you know, when i saw it i couldn't help myself from starting a new artwork, and i hope i can finish it for monday. I think it's possible... but it will be a bit hard... i think i will leave the first rays of light to the people outside and i will forget about the first springtime walks that i wanted so much to do.
Here is the painting... in progress...
I think i will call it "the call of the cherrytree"...

Mon exposition nantaise s'approche à grands pas et je dois avouer avec un peu de fierté que je ne suis pas en retard par rapport au rétro-planning!
J'ai commencé à emballer méticuleusement mes toiles pour le voyage. Il y a quand même 2000 kilomètres aller/retour, donc je prends mes précautions...
Comme vous pouvez le voir sur ces photos (où vous pouvez constater combien je suis photogénique!), celà ne m'empêche pas d'en entamer de nouvelles... elles seront peut-être "ready" pour le Jour J? Qui sait? Il me reste peu de temps, mais tout est encore possible!
Et vous, chèrs lecteurs... serez-vous là?

The exhibition i planned to do in Nantes comes very fast now and i must admit with pride that i'm not too late! I started to pack carefuly my painting for the 2000 kms trip that's waiting for us...
As you can see on these pictures (where you can see how photogenic i am!), all of this won't stop me starting new ones... they will maybe be ready for the D-Day? Who knows? I don't have much time left before, but still everything's possible!

"Or blanc de Lys" (30x40cm)

 

"Or blanc de Lys" est le titre que j'ai décidé de donner à cette peinture.
"Or blanc" pourrait être le prénom de cette charmante inconnue, son nom pourrait être à particule. Cette femme pourrait être une allégorie de l'hiver.
La technique utilisée est mixte : aquarelle, acrylique et mediums ainsi que de la feuille d'or sur Arches 420g format 30x40 cm. Je l'ai mis dans un cadre bois 50x50cm avec un très beau passepartout carton à grain. Format de la partie visible de cette peinture sur papier : 30x30 cm. Pour info, j'utilise toujours de la feuille d'or 22 carats dans mes différents tableaux. Je le précise car un client m'a posé la question la semaine dernière.
Je voulais que ce tableau soit comme un dernier au revoir à cet hiver qui n'en finit pas, c'est pourquoi la teinte de fond est bleue et les cheveux de la belle sont blancs...
Ah oui et sinon, je tenais à vous dire qu'une nouvelle série de cartes postales va bientôt être mise en ligne. Demain très certainement. Encore une série de cartes superbes et de qualité.

"Or blanc de Lys" is the title i gave to this painting.
"Or blanc" ("white gold") could be the first name of this charming person, her name could be an aristocratic name ("de Lys"). This woman could be an allegoria of winter time.
The techniques i used here are mixed: water colours, acryl, mediums and gold leaf on Arches paper 420g. Whan i use gold in my artwork, i always use 22 carats gold leaf, nothing else. It's an important detail that i wanted to mention, because a customer of mine asked it to me last week.
I wanted this picture to be like a goodbye to this no ending winter time, that's why the background colour is blue and the hair colour is white...
Oh something else i wanted to mention! Soon a brand new serie of postcards (limited edition) will be available on this blog. Maybe tomorrow. A very beautiful and high quality print serie again.

Je vous présente ma nouvelle peinture, "Fleur & Hibiscus", le titre à le temps de changer car je ne suis pas satisfaite à 100%. D'ailleurs vos idées sont les bienvenues... ;)
Cette peinture est mêlée de plusieurs techniques sur Arches 420g. Le tout mesure 30 x 40 cm.
